Wild acquire Brink from Flyers for Jiricek
The Minnesota Wild acquired forward Bobby Brink from the Philadelphia Flyers for defenseman David Jiricek, the teams announced Friday.
Brink has 13 goals and 26 points in 55 games. He has a $1.5-million cap hit and is set to become a restricted free agent this summer.
The 24-year-old Minnesota native tallied 41 points in 79 contests last season. Brink has 36 goals and 94 points in 201 career games.
Jiricek has zero points in 25 NHL games this season and 10 points in 24 contests with the AHL's Iowa Wild. He will report to Philadelphia's AHL affiliate, the team announced.
The 22-year-old was drafted sixth overall in 2022 by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was traded to the Wild in November 2024 for a package including first-, second-, third-, and fourth-round picks.
Jiricek was named Best Defenseman at the 2023 world juniors when Czechia won silver.
The right-handed rearguard is in the last year of his entry-level contract and will be a restricted free agent in July.
