The Vancouver Canucks have given Evander Kane's agent permission to help facilitate a trade, reports CHEK's Rick Dhaliwal.
Kane has nine goals and 24 points in 51 games this season with his hometown Canucks. He leads the team with 57 penalty minutes.
The 34-year-old has a $5.125-million cap hit and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in July.
Vancouver acquired Kane in June from the Edmonton Oilers for a fourth-round pick. He missed the entire 2024-25 regular season with multiple injuries before returning in the playoffs, where he notched six goals and 12 points in 21 contests for Edmonton.
The Canucks have already traded star defenseman Quinn Hughes and forward Kiefer Sherwood during the campaign.
