The Vancouver Canucks signed forward David Kampf to a one-year contract worth $1.1 million, the team announced Saturday.

Kampf mutually terminated his contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday after clearing waivers. His previous deal ran through the 2026-27 campaign at a $2.4-million cap hit.

The 30-year-old has played four AHL games this season, recording one assist. Kampf managed five goals and 13 points in 59 contests last campaign with the Maple Leafs.

The Canucks are without forwards Filip Chytil, Nils Hoglander, and Teddy Blueger due to injury.

Kampf has totaled 48 goals and 143 points in 536 career games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Maple Leafs while typically being deployed in a defensive, bottom-six center role.
