Vancouver Canucks forward Nils Hoglander will miss 8-10 weeks after undergoing surgery on a lower-body injury, the team announced Monday.
Hoglander suffered the injury in Vancouver's preseason win over the Calgary Flames on Sept. 24. He was initially labeled week-to-week.
The 24-year-old managed 25 points in 72 games last season, a down year after notching a career-high 24 goals in 2023-24.
Hoglander is entering the first campaign of a three-year, $9-million extension signed last October.
The Canucks drafted Hoglander 40th overall in 2019. He's managed 115 points in 293 NHL games.
