The Calgary Flames re-signed forward Justin Kirkland to a one-year, $900,000 contract, the team announced Monday.
Kirkland tallied two goals and eight points in 21 games before sustaining a season-ending torn ACL in November. He was near-automatic in the shootout, adding three goals on four attempts.
It's the first one-way contract of Kirkland's career.
The 28-year-old has played only 30 career NHL contests. He had a seven-game stint with the Anaheim Ducks in 2022-23, and he played two games with the Arizona Coyotes in 2023-24.
Kirkland accumulated 75 goals and 200 points in 408 career AHL games over parts of eight seasons.
