Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry underwent hip surgery and is expected to make a full recovery after a five-to-six month rehabilitation process, the team announced Wednesday.
The recovery timeline could force Lowry to miss the start of the 2025-26 season.
Lowry logged 34 points in 73 regular-season games. He added four goals in 13 playoff contests, including the double-overtime winner in Game 7 against the St. Louis Blues.
The 32-year-old is eligible to sign a contract extension as of July 1 and recently said he hopes to be a Jet for life.
