Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele exited Wednesday's Game 5 against the St. Louis Blues with an apparent injury.

Blues captain Brayden Schenn caught Scheifele with a big hit in the first period. Schenn was assessed a minor penalty for roughing.

Scheifele played two more shifts in the first. He was stood up on a hit by Blues forward Radek Faksa late in the period.

The 32-year-old didn't play in the second period and was ruled out by the Jets to begin the third.

Vladislav Namestnikov replaced Scheifele on the top line alongside Kyle Connor and Gabe Vilardi. Namestnikov scored his first goal in 20 games late in the second period.

Scheifele had an assist in the first period and has two goals and six points in the series overall. He registered 39 goals and a career-high 87 points in the regular season.

The Presidents' Trophy-winning Jets went up 2-0 in the series, but the Blues defended home ice to draw even at 2-2.
