Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto sustained an upper-body injury in the first period of Tuesday's clash with the Tampa Bay Lightning and didn't return.
Pinto went straight to the dressing room after a hit from Nick Perbix along the boards.
Head coach Travis Green didn't have an update on Pinto postgame.
"It's a big loss," Green said, per TSN 1200. "Does a lot of different things for our team. Big matchup guy."
Pinto's notched 11 goals and 11 assists in 45 games this season. He lined up as Ottawa's third-line center Tuesday. The Senators recently lost fellow pivot Josh Norris on a week-to-week basis due to injury.
The Lightning moved within two points of the Senators in the Atlantic Division standings by securing a 4-3 victory.
