Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel announced captain Adam Lowry is week-to-week with an upper-body injury, according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.
"It's a big loss," Arniel said.
Lowry was injured in the first period of Monday's loss to the Utah Hockey Club. The 31-year-old has registered 26 points in 48 games this season and has recently been occupying Winnipeg's second-line center role.
Vladislav Namestnikov took Lowry's spot between Nikolaj Ehlers and Gabe Vilardi in practice Wednesday, per McIntyre.
The Jets have collected only four wins in their past 10 games. Winnipeg currently holds a five-point lead atop the Central Division.
