The Boston Bruins signed forward Morgan Geekie to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $2 million, the team announced.
Geekie wasn't tendered a qualifying offer by the Seattle Kraken on Friday, making him an unrestricted free agent. The soon-to-be 25-year-old scored nine goals and 28 points in 69 games last season.
The Kraken selected Geekie in the expansion draft from the Carolina Hurricanes. He totaled 16 goals and 50 points in 142 contests with Seattle.
