Panthers sign Eetu Luostarinen to 2-year extension
The Florida Panthers signed forward Eetu Luostarinen to a two-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.
The deal carries an average annual value of $1.5 million, according to CapFriendly. Luostarinen was a pending restricted free agent.
Luostarinen scored nine goals and 17 assists in 78 games while averaging 13:26 of ice time per contest with the Panthers in 2021-22. He chipped in with two points in 10 playoff games before Florida was swept out of the postseason by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Panthers acquired the 23-year-old's services from the Hurricanes at the 2020 trade deadline as part of the swap that sent Vincent Trocheck to Carolina.
Selected by the Hurricanes in the second round of the 2017 draft, Luostarinen has 35 points in 130 career NHL games.
