Sabres sign Olofsson to 2-year deal with $4.75M AAV

The Buffalo Sabres signed forward Victor Olofsson to a two-year contract carrying an average annual value of $4.75 million, the team announced Wednesday.

Olofsson was a restricted free agent this offseason upon the expiry of his two-year, $6.1-million deal signed in 2020.

The 26-year-old winger is coming off his most productive NHL campaign with 49 points in 72 games while averaging over 15 minutes per contest. Since breaking into the NHL as a regular in 2019-20, Olofsson's notched two 20-goal seasons.

Olofsson was the lone RFA on Buffalo's books this offseason before inking his new deal.
