The Nashville Predators are bringing defenseman Jeremy Lauzon back on a four-year contract carrying an average annual value of $2 million.

Lauzon was a pending restricted free agent. The Predators acquired him from the Seattle Kraken in March in exchange for a second-round pick in this year's draft.

The 25-year-old is known more for his physical play than offensive production.

Lauzon racked up 48 hits and 14 blocked shots in 13 games with the Predators.

The Kraken claimed him from the Boston Bruins in last summer's expansion draft.

Lauzon spent his first three seasons with the Bruins, who drafted him 52nd overall in 2015.
