The Carolina Hurricanes inked forward Jordan Martinook to a three-year contract with an average annual value of $1.8 million, the team announced.
Martinook was a pending unrestricted free agent after his two-year, $4-million pact with Carolina expired.
The 29-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Hurricanes. The Arizona Coyotes drafted him in 2012, and he played four campaigns in the desert.
Martinook has posted 13 points the last two seasons. He averaged 12:45 in ice time across 44 contests in 2020-21.
