The Chicago Blackhawks have traded defenseman Nikita Zadorov to the Calgary Flames for a 2022 third-round pick, the team announced Wednesday.
Zadorov is a restricted free agent and received a $3.2-million qualifying offer from the Blackhawks earlier this week, according to CapFriendly.
The 26-year-old spent one season with the Blackhawks after they acquired him from the Colorado Avalanche in a trade last October. He notched one goal and seven assists while laying 190 hits in 55 games in 2020-21.
Selected 16th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2013 NHL Draft, Zadorov has played in 411 career games, scoring 23 goals and adding 60 assists.
