Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon didn't play against the Los Angeles Kings on Friday due to a lower-body injury.
MacKinnon logged 20:28 of ice time during a 3-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday, and it's unclear when the injury occurred.
The dynamic pivot is tied for fourth in league scoring with 65 points through 49 games and ranks second on the Avalanche with 20 goals.
Colorado sits second in the West Division and four points back of the top-seeded Vegas Golden Knights following Friday's action.
