The New Jersey Devils inked goaltender Corey Crawford to a two-year contract carrying an average annual value of $3.9 million, the club announced Friday night.

Crawford had spent his entire career with the Blackhawks, playing his first full season in 2010-11 and helping them win the Stanley Cup in 2013 and 2015. He is the only netminder in Blackhawks history to win two championships with the team.

The 35-year-old - who'll turn 36 on Dec. 31 - posted a .917 save percentage in 40 games with Chicago this past season.

Crawford is coming off a six-year, $36-million pact he signed with the Blackhawks in 2013.

The Devils placed veteran puck-stopper Cory Schneider on waivers Thursday in order to buy him out.
