Wild extend Soucy with 3-year, $8.25M deal

The Minnesota Wild signed defenseman Carson Soucy to a three-year extension with an average annual value of $2.75 million, the team announced Monday.
Soucy appeared in 55 games with the Wild during the 2019-20 season, his first full campaign in the NHL. He totalled seven goals and seven assists, including 69 hits and a plus-16 rating.
The 26-year-old spent four seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and served as an assistant captain while compiling 47 points in 147 games.
Minnesota selected Soucy in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
