Nashville's sweaters leaked earlier Saturday morning, several hours before the unveiling.
The jersey design is a tribute to the Nashville Dixie Flyers, according to Sportslogos.net's Chris Creamer. The Dixie Flyers were a minor-league hockey club that played in the Eastern Hockey League from 1962-71.
It also features a new shoulder patch depicting a saber-toothed tiger's head, which has "a retro look to pay homage to the history and heritage of hockey in Nashville," according to Adidas.
The Dallas Stars will host the Predators at Cotton Bowl Stadium in the Winter Classic on Jan. 1, 2020.
