Capitals ink Panik to 4-year deal worth $11M

The Washington Capitals signed winger Richard Panik to a four-year, $11-million contract on Monday, the club announced.

Panik hit unrestricted free agency after spending the last season-and-a-half with the Arizona Coyotes. His previous deal paid him $2.8 million annually.

The 28-year-old winger registered 14 goals and 19 assists across 75 games in 2018-19 and will likely serve as a depth option in Washington.
