Pelletier posted a strong draft year, ranking second on Moncton and seventh in the QMJHL with 89 points. He's not particularly flashy, but the winger is a smart player, and he could blossom into a useful NHLer if Pelletier's scoring touch continues to develop.

Skating isn't a major strength for him, but it isn't especially concerning either. The Quebec native will likely need a few more years to develop before the Flames truly know what he can be as a pro. But, at the very least, he's shown the determination to find a path to the NHL.

What they're saying

"He’s so smart and patient. He sees the ice well. He plays a 200-foot game. He gets so many offensive chances because he’s so good defensively. I trust him a lot. He’s a player you want to go to battle with; he brings it every night. There are zero holes in his game." - former Wildcats coach Darren Rumble to The Athletic's Corey Pronman.
