Hitchcock dismisses those who 'b---- and complain' about Oilers' faults
Warning: Story contains coarse language
Ken Hitchcock is tired of hearing about the Edmonton Oilers' shortcomings.
The head coach made that clear after his club shut out the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-0 on the road Saturday.
"People bitch and complain about what we don't have," Hitchcock told reporters postgame. "Well, what we've got is a team. You've got to give us that. You can complain (about) what we don't have, we've got (AHL) this or whatever, but what we've got is a damn team and a good one. We're not going to be easy to play against for the rest of the year."
The Oilers picked up their second straight win and now sit five points out of a playoff spot. Edmonton has a favorable schedule down the stretch, with more home games remaining than any other NHL team following Monday's away contest in Buffalo.
