Dallas Stars forward Gemel Smith earned a one-year, $720,000 contract in arbitration, the team announced Friday.
The Stars placed Smith on waivers in July, but he cleared. Dallas now has no outstanding contracts to take care of and will have a projected $5.3 million in cap space, according to Cap Friendly.
Smith, 24, appeared in 46 games for the Stars in 2017-18, recording six goals and five assists.
