The Carolina Hurricanes have inked goaltender Petr Mrazek to a one-year, $1.5-million deal, the club announced Sunday.
Mrazek posted an .891 save percentage in 17 games with the Philadelphia Flyers this past season after being traded by the Detroit Red Wings, with whom he played parts of the last six campaigns.
He's set to take the place of Cam Ward, who agreed to a one-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.
The 26-year-old was a fifth-round pick of Detroit in 2010.
