The Buffalo Sabres are expected to sign free agent goaltender Carter Hutton once the market opens on July 1, according to The Associated Press.
There's no word yet on the terms of the reported agreement.
Hutton, 32, is coming off a career year with the St. Louis Blues in which he posted a 17-7-3 record along with a .931 save percentage and 2.09 goals against average.
The Sabres didn't re-sign their 2017-18 goaltending tandem of Robin Lehner and Chad Johnson, and have a projected $18.4 million in available cap space, according to CapFriendly.
