The Vegas Golden Knights made more history Wednesday night, securing the most points in a single season by an NHL expansion franchise with a 7-3 victory over the Calgary Flames.
They now have 84 points and continue to sit atop the Pacific Division with a 40-16-4 record.
The Golden Knights broke the previous mark set by the 1993-94 Florida Panthers, who finished with 83 points and a 33-34-17 record.
Vegas also won its 23rd game at T-Mobile Arena, establishing a new league record for most home victories in a team's inaugural season.
