Report: Krug will dodge discipline for hit on Shaw

The NHL will not levy punishment on Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug, who landed a high open-ice hit on Montreal Canadiens forward Andrew Shaw on Monday night, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
Krug made direct contact with Shaw's head. But as Johnston notes, the fact that Shaw made himself vulnerable by crouching down and reaching out made head contact less avoidable in this instance.
Shaw, left bloodied by the hit, returned to the game after being checked out by medical personnel.
