The Washington Capitals are feeling the effects of a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.

The team's leading goal-scorer T.J. Oshie will be sidelined on a week-to-week basis with an upper-body injury, the team announced on Saturday.

Forward Lars Eller is listed as day to day with an upper-body injury of his own. Both players left Friday's game with their respective ailments.

The injury comes at a bad time for Oshie who shares the team lead with Alex Ovechkin with eight goals on the season, and was coming off a four-point game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.

Eller meanwhile has produced just two goals in 17 games to date.
