The Florida Panthers have dealt Connor Brickley to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Brody Sutter in a swap involving minor-league forwards, the teams announced Tuesday.
In Brickley, 24, the Hurricanes get the former 50th overall selection from 2010, who's appeared in 23 NHL games since being picked in the second round. He's produced at a decent clip in the American Hockey League, totaling 35 goals and 76 points in 126 games.
Sutter is a seventh-round selection of the Hurricanes with 12 games under his belt at the NHL level. The 25-year-old former seventh-round selection hasn't scored at a comparable rate to Brickley.
