The Pittsburgh Steelers are actively trying to remedy a secondary that struggled immensely in 2015.
Pittsburgh finished 30th in passing defense, and lacks depth across the board at cornerback and safety. With April's NFL draft quickly approaching, the Steelers are aiming to draft a cornerback to improve their erratic group.
"We can't say we'll take a cornerback first, second, or third," general manager Kevin Colbert said to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "But there are enough that we should be able to get one."
Pittsburgh drafted cornerback Senquez Golson in the second round last spring, but the 22-year-old missed the entire 2015 season due to a shoulder injury. If Golson proves worthy of his draft status, the Steelers' problem could be alleviated quickly.
The Steelers may focus on taking a safety as well, with the club still reeling from Troy Polamalu's retirement last April.
