Cleveland Browns linebacker Armonty Bryant has been suspended four games for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy.
Bryant pleaded not guilty to two counts of drug possession in February from a Christmas morning incident, where police found Oxycodone and Adderall in his possession during a traffic stop, according to CBS Cleveland.
As a result of the suspension, Bryant will lose $158,123 in wages. Bryant's pretrial hearing was reschedule to March 14, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.
The NFL released the following statement:
Armonty Bryant of the Cleveland Browns has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2016 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances. Bryant is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.
Bryant recorded 40 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 14 games last season.
