Dallas police obtain Manziel's ex-girlfriend's medical records
The Dallas Police Department acquired the medical records of Johnny Manziel's ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, as part of its criminal investigation into whether the Cleveland Browns quarterback assaulted her, a source told ESPN's Pat McManamon.
A criminal investigation was launched on Feb. 5, stemming from allegations that Manziel assaulted Crowley on the night of Jan. 29.
As a result, a Texas judge issued a protective order barring Manziel from any contact with Crowley over the next two years.
Crowley alleges that she suffered a ruptured eardrum during Manziel's alleged attack.
Dallas police nor any of the parties involved presented further comment.
Manziel was never charged with a crime, but is widely expected to be released by the Browns in March.
