Colts OC Chudzinski: Hasselbeck's 'playing like a 22-year-old'
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has turned back the clock this season, going 4-0 in place of the injured Andrew Luck and challenging career-high marks in yards per game and completion percentage.
While the Colts have made it clear that Luck will resume starting duties once healthy enough, they're more than comfortable riding the 40-year-old Hasselbeck until then.
"He's playing like a 22-year-old in terms of his excitement and passion to play," Colts offensive coordinator Rod Chudzinski said Thursday, via the team's official website. "I can't say enough about him and his performance."
After picking up wins against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Hasselbeck faces his toughest assignment to date Sunday on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
