Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward is not expected to receive a suspension after being ejected from Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The play in question, in which Ward blatantly threw a punch at Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, is instead likely to land him a substantial fine upon the league's official review, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Any sort of suspension would have marked the second consecutive week in which the Broncos went without a key member of the secondary.
Cornerback Aqib Talib sat out Denver's loss to the Chiefs after receiving a one-game ban for an eye-gouge of Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen the game prior.
