The New York Giants will be without rookie offensive tackle Ereck Flowers for the next little while as he recovers from a hip flexor strain, the team announced.

Flowers, the No. 9 overall pick of this year's draft, did not practice Monday and is considered day to day.

With Will Beatty sidelined, Flowers projects to be the Giants' starting left tackle for the foreseeable future.
