Aaron Rodgers praised Brett Favre for his passion and ability to inspire Friday ahead of the legendary quarterback's induction into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame this weekend.
"He brought a lot great energy and enthusiasm to practice," Rodgers said of Favre in an interview with "NFL Total Access."
"And to the locker room and that's kind of an underappreciated part of leadership and being a quarterback I think."
Much has been made about the frosty relationship between Rodgers and Favre, who will also have his No. 4 retired by the Packers. After Rodgers essentially forced the Packers' hand to trade Favre in 2008, tension between the two remained palpable as Favre played for the Jets, and later the Minnesota Vikings in a return to the NFC North.
Rodgers and Favre recently mended fences, appearing together at the ESPYS in 2013 and again this year. The organization and Rodgers have come full circle and their relationships with Favre have become significantly more cordial.
"I feel like things have definitely warmed up over the few years," Rodgers said. "I hope he gets the reception he deserves. I'm sure he will."
