Saints' Kenny Vaccaro: I played through two quad tears in 2014

New Orleans Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro said he played through a hamstring injury and two quadriceps tears last season, according to Larry Holder of The Times-Picayune.

Vaccaro also said he felt his ankle held him back in 2014, but as OTAs get underway, he's completely healthy. He only failed to play in Week 17 last season, when the Saints were already eliminated from the playoffs.

The Texas product has reportedly bulked up during the offseason and entered OTAs hoping to return to the form that made him the Saints 15th overall selection in 2013.

Vaccaro struggled mightily in 2014, grading out as Pro Football Focus's 85th safety, though he still accumulated 75 tackles, one sack and two interceptions.
