New York Giants president, CEO and co-owner John Mara said a proposal to move extra-point attempts further back has been tabled at the NFL Annual Meeting, according to NFL Media's Judy Battista.
There were reportedly discussions about making the extra-point a longer attempt or moving it to the 1-yard line, a proposal submitted as a way to spur move two-point conversion attempts.
23 ideas are up for approval at the NFL Annual Meeting, where owners can vote on rule amendments for the upcoming season.
The league did pass a number of medical measures, including the implementation of medical timeouts and increased enforcement of chop blocks, according to NFL Media's Dan Hanzus.
