Losing Ndamukong Suh to the Miami Dolphins was a blow to the Detroit Lions, but general manager Martin Mayhew is looking for the positives in the situation:

The defensive tackle signed a six-year, $114-million contract in Miami, with $60 million guaranteed.

Although Suh is a tremendous talent, the Lions traded for Haloti Ngata to replace him. They're not exactly breaking even on the deal, but Ngata is a nice consolation prize and Detroit can spend the money they would have given to Suh on improving their roster in the coming years.
