The Tennessee Titans released offensive tackle Michael Oher with an injury designation, the team announced Thursday.
Oher joined the Titans on a four-year, $20-million free-agent deal last offseason, but a disappointing year has seen Tennessee make the quick decision to part ways.
Though the Titans will now find themselves in the market for another offensive tackle, the move will likely save the team a significant portion of the original $20 million on Oher's contract.
After starting every game in his first five NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, the former first-round pick was limited to 11 starts with the Titans in 2014.
Oher hits the open market at 28 years old and shouldn't have much trouble finding an opportunity with another team.
