Panthers' Thomas Davis named Walter Payton Man of the Year
Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis was named the Walter Payton Man of the Year on Saturday night.
Davis recorded 100 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles for the Panthers.
The Panthers' linebacker created the Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation, that focuses on bettering the lives of 2,000 impoverished children.
For winning the award, Davis has been granted $50,000 to donate to a charity of his own choosing.
