Super Bowl XLIX tickets could be most expensive in NFL history

Fans still planning to buy tickets for the big game may be forced to pay an unprecedented price.
As of Thursday morning, the least expensive ticket available on the secondary market to see Super Bowl XLIX between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks was listed for $8,070, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.
Though face value of the tickets for Sunday's game at University of Phoenix Stadium are between $500 and $1,500, a number of factors that play into the secondary market evidently drove the prices well above that range.
The market still has some time to fluctuate before kickoff, but, as Rovell indicates, the current numbers suggest that this year's Super Bowl could end up the most expensive ticket in NFL history.
