Chris Matthews with another monster catch #SB49

8:22 p.m. ET - Katy Perry halftime show recap.

8:20 p.m. ET - Neither the Patriots nor the Seahawks have played in a game which was tied at the half.

7:58 p.m. ET - TOUCHDOWN. A major error by Patriots cornerback Logan Ryan who plays off Chris Matthews, allowing Wilson to hit him at the front of the end zone for an easy six points. A huge blunder by the Patriots there. It's 14-14 in Glendale.

#Seahawks Chris Matthews didn't have a catch in the regular season, now he has a #SuperBowl TD on a huge play call!

7:57 p.m. ET - The Seahawks line up to go for it. The Patriots call timeout.

7:56 p.m. ET - The Seahawks call a timeout. They may be considering a quick shot at the end zone here.

7:51 p.m. ET - No return on the kick. The Seahawks have 31 seconds and three timeouts to try to get into field goal range.

7:50 p.m. ET - That touchdown pass by Tom Brady ties him with Joe Montana for most in Super Bowl history. They each have 11.

7:48 p.m. ET - TOUCHDOWN. Tom Brady hits Rob Gronkowski over the top, looked like K.J. Wright stumbled, and he's in for the score. 31 seconds remaining in the half. It's 14-7 for the Patriots.

7:46 p.m. ET - Timeout Patriots. That's their first. Forty seconds remaining in the half.

7:45 p.m. ET - More Shane Vereen, again making a catch out of the backfield and this time getting down tot he Seattle 27-yard line. Gain of 16 this time.

7:42 p.m. ET - More Shane Vereen underneath from the Patriots. That's reception number five for him. He gets up to the New England 45-yard line.

7:40 p.m. ET - Tom Brady is 16-of-22 thus far. Russell Wilson is 2-of-4.

7:38 p.m. ET - Sounds like Dont'a Hightower is alright. No trainers looking at him right now.

7:38 p.m. ET - Tom Brady hits Danny Amendola to the left for a gain of 11 and a first down. That sends the game to the two-minute warning.

7:37 p.m. ET - No return on the kick. Tom Brady and the Patriots will get started at their own 20-yard line with 2:16 remaining in the half and a full compliment of timeouts.

7:36 p.m. ET - The Seahawks really needed that drive to get some life back on the sideline.

Vine by swwd49

Vine by swwd49

7:29 p.m. ET - The first penalty of the game goes against the Seahawks. Luke Willson called for the false start with 5:44 remaining in the second quarter. That makes it third-and-6.

7:28 p.m. ET - Marshawn Lynch with a couple of carries up the gut for a gain of nine. Third-and-1 coming up.

7:25 p.m. ET - The Patriots down the punt at the Seattle 31-yard line. The Seahawks will take over from there.

7:25 p.m. ET - Third-and-3 for the Patriots, Brady's intended targets collided, and he was forced to throw the ball away. The Seahawks force a much-needed three-and-out.

7:23 p.m. ET - Tharold Simon back in the game for the Seahawks. That's good news.

7:23 p.m. ET - The Patriots have nine first downs to the Seahawks' one. The Seahawks need to get off the field here.

7:15 p.m. ET - No return on the kick. Seattle will start at its own 20-yard line.

7:14 p.m. ET - It's still very early, but the Seahawks need to begin showing something on offense.

7:12 p.m. ET - Tharold Simon appeared to be hurt on that play. The Seahawks certainly can't afford any more injuries in the secondary.

7:11 p.m. ET - TOUCHDOWN. Tom Brady hits Brandon LaFell over the middle and he falls into the end zone for the game's opening score. That 11-yard strike caps a nine-play, 65-yard drive. Patriots lead 7-0.

Vine by swwd49

7:10 p.m. ET - The Patriots convert on third-and-9 as Julian Edelman gets free over the middle on a crossing route and runs down to the Seattle 12-yard line.

7:08 p.m. ET - Tom Brady hits Shane Vereen to the right for the Patriots' seventh first down of the game. He breaks a tackle and gets down to the Seattle 36-yard line.

7:06 p.m. ET - Russell Wilson really needs some help from his pass-catchers. All 20 of the Seahawks' yards on offense have come on the ground.

7:05 p.m. ET - The Patriots have outgained the Seahawks 75-20 through two possessions per side.

7:03 p.m. ET - Julian Edelman returns the punt to the New England 35-yard line.

7:02 p.m. ET - Russell Wilson scrambles around to extend the play but no one can get open and his throw falls incomplete.

7:00 p.m. ET - The Patriots have never scored a point in the first quarter of the six Super Bowls they've gone to with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.

6:58 p.m. ET - Russell Wilson scrambles left and goes down. Darrelle Revis in on the stop. That's the final play of the first quarter.

6:57 p.m. ET - Marshawn Lynch with a tough run up the middle. The Patriots have had a ton of trouble getting him down. He picked up the Seahawks' first first down of the game.

6:56 p.m. ET - Jeremy Lane has his arm in an air cast. He was hurt on that interception return. Tough to imagine we see him again tonight.

6:55 p.m. ET - Tough to know what Brady saw there. No one in the area.

6:53 p.m. ET - TURNOVER. Tom Brady throws to the end zone and no one was in the area except for Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane, who brought in the easy interception and returned it to around the Seattle 15-yard line.

Vine by swwd49

6:49 p.m. ET - LeGarrette Blount finally finds some space around the right side, converting on third-and-1 with a run to the New England 26-yard line. Gain of eight. Earl Thomas with the stop.

6:48 p.m. ET - The Patriots are really leaning heavily on Shane Vereen as well. He's up to three catches and four touches early on.

6:47 p.m. ET - Tom Brady hits Rob Gronkowski on a quick slant on that right side and he picks up the first down to the Seattle 43-yard line.

6:46 p.m. ET - The Patriots are really leaning heavily on LeGarrette Blount early. He carries twice for a combined gain of 7. Third-and-3 coming up.

6:45 p.m. ET - Tom Brady hits Julian Edelman to the left for a first down. Thus far, all three of his passes have been to the defensive right side, away from Richard Sherman.

6:44 p.m. ET - The Patriots did a great job of containing Lynch there, and they didn't even stack the box. Just a great job by the guys up front getting into the backfield and making plays.

6:42 p.m. ET - Julian Edelman makes a fair-catch on the punt at the New England 33-yard line. Tom Brady and the Patriots' offense will go back to work.

6:41 p.m. ET - The Seahawks go to Marshawn Lynch on each of their first three plays from scrimmage. Facing a third-and-2, Lynch meets a wall and goes down for no gain. Jon Ryan on to punt.

6:38 p.m. ET - Seems like a pretty cut and dry call that the officials missed there. Let's see if the Seahawks can capitalize on this early break.

6:36 p.m. ET - A questionable call here. The Seahawks appeared to rough Patriots punter Ryan Allen, but were called for the lesser offense, running into the kicker. The penalty isn't enough for a first down, so the Seahawks will keep the ball.

6:35 p.m. ET - LeGarrette Blount picks up four yards on a couple of runs up the middle, then Tom Brady again tried to convert on third with a pass to Shane Vereen to the left, but he misfired and the ball hit the ground.

6:33 p.m. ET - Tom Brady converts on third-and-2 with a short completion to Shane Vereen to the left. That's the game's first first-down.

6:31 p.m. ET - Not much of a return from Danny Amendola on that kick. Tom Brady and the Patriots will begin at their own 18-yard line.

6:30 p.m. ET - Steven Hauschka just about set to kick it away and get this game underway.

6:28 p.m. ET - No major injury concerns for either side. All the key question marks are active. Bryan Stork, Richard Sherman, and Kam Chancellor are all active.

6:26 p.m. ET - The toss came up tails. The Seahawks won the toss and elected to defer. The Patriots will start with the football.

6:25 p.m. ET - Time for the coin toss.

6:24 p.m. ET - However, only two teams (Bears, Jets) allowed more than the 11 touchdowns the Seahawks surrendered to tight ends during the regular year.

6:24 p.m. ET - The Seahawks led the league in scoring defense during the regular season, making them the 17th team to qualify for the Super Bowl after doing so. The previous 16 went 13-3.

6:23 p.m. ET - Since the start of Week 12, the Seahawks have limited opponents to 9.8 points per game. To put that in perspective, the unit held opponents to 11.5 points per game over the final eight games of last season's title run.

6:22 p.m. ET - Russell Wilson is 10-0 in his career against Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks.

6:22 p.m. ET - The wickedly talented Idina Menzel went a hair over time on the national anthem, cashing some tickets for bettor overs. Keep up to date with results of all your prop bets here.

6:21 p.m. ET - Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was wearing gold cleats in warm-ups. A league official was spotted talking to him. Seems unlikely he'll still be wearing them after the opening kickoff.

6:21 p.m. ET - With a victory today, Tom Brady would match Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw for most Super Bowl wins by a quarterback all time.

6:20 p.m. ET - Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, at 26 years, 64 days old, is the youngest quarterback in NFL history to start a second Super Bowl.
