Report: Browns' Josh Gordon facing one-year suspension after failed drug test
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is facing another one-year suspension after failing a drug test, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Gordon's suspension was because he tested positive for alcohol, which is a violation for the receiver because of a DUI, according to ProFootballTalk.
The 23-year-old is a supremely talented player and arguably the league's most dangerous wideout when he's able to stay on the field, but his inability to do so will severely impact his value going forward
The Browns were already expected to consider parting ways after a disappointing end to Gordon's 2014 season - in which he played just six games after serving a 10-game ban - and yet another drug-related suspension makes it unlikely that another team will take a chance on him any time soon.
Cleveland released a statement about Gordon's impending suspension.
As ProFootballTalk reports, a successful appeal for the suspension is considered unlikely at this point.
