The New York Jets have hired Pepper Johnson as their new defensive line coach.
The team announced the addition to rookie head coach Todd Bowles' staff Saturday, a day after officially introducing eight new assistants.
Johnson is a highly respected defensive coach, who worked with the New England Patriots from 2000-2013 and as the Buffalo Bills' defensive line coach last season.
