Report: Seahawks' Dan Quinn considered the favorite to land Jets' HC job

Doug Marrone has been pegged as the favorite to land the New York Jets' vacant head coaching position, but that no longer appears to be the case.
Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, not Marrone, is the front runner for the job, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.
Quinn reportedly interviewed with the Jets on Friday and has been linked to several other teams, including the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears.
Jets owner Woody Johnson has publicly voiced his support for Marrone, who opted out of his contract with the Buffalo Bills after two seasons, but recent reports have painted him as a coach who routinely butted heads with his players, co-workers and superiors. That could be enough to sway the Jets to look elsewhere.
