Rex Ryan may not be out of a job for long.
The recently-fired former New York Jets head coach will interview with the San Francisco 49ers for their vacant head coaching position on Sunday, according to Kimberly Jones of NFL Network.
The outspoken coach had an up and down run in New York, getting out to a hot start with back-to-back AFC Championship appearances in 2009 and 2010 before missing the playoffs in four straight seasons.
Ryan is also a rumored candidate for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching vacancy.
