Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
At this point, Rodgers is expected to be ready for Sunday's NFC North showdown with the Detroit Lions, and Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is happy with the work his quarterback was able to get in.
"Aaron's plan today, he did all the pre-practice work and no-huddle, and then we had a segment he was able to get some rehab done," McCarthy told the team's official site. "Then he went back outside for the team (11-on-11) stuff. He got done what he needed to get done today. He’s getting better. He threw the ball around."
Rodgers suffered a calf injury during last week's victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was still able to throw for 318 yards and a touchdown.
