San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen has squared off against many of the league's best cornerbacks in his two NFL seasons.
One stands out above all the others: New England Patriots star Darrelle Revis.
Revis neutralized Allen on Sunday, holding the Chargers sophomore to two catches for three yards in New England's 23-14 victory.
Allen expressed his admiration for Revis on Wednesday.
"I still think he's the best cornerback in the league," Allen said to Tom Krasovic of the San Diego Union-Tribune. "Lots of credit for him. He has great technique. He's very patient. He understands his technique."
"You just need to learn from it."
Earlier in the season, Allen starred against Seattle's Richard Sherman who is considered by many to be the NFL's top cornerback.
The Chargers' emerging star may have a shot at redemption against Revis, with San Diego and New England both slated to make the AFC playoffs.
