Although the New York Jets lost 24-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Michael Vick was retained as the team's starting quarterback.
"Mike (Vick) will start next week ... I thought he played well. We'll give him a shot against Pittsburgh," Jets head coach Rex Ryan told reporters after the game.
Vick went 21-of-28 for 196 yards, with a touchdown and no interceptions and added 18 yards rushing on four carries against the Chiefs.
The Jets' quarterback was evaluated for a concussion during Sunday's game but returned in the fourth quarter.
